Mr. Thiyachai Chong has over 15 years of experience worldwide in wealth management, investment management, life insurance, management consulting and business transformation. Most recently, he was the Managing Director and Fund Manager at Phillip Asset Management Co., Ltd., Thailand and a Director at Phillip Life Assurance Plc. since 2018. His track record in spearheading the wealth management industry in thought leadership and customer centricity would be invaluable in supporting CIMB Thai Bank's vision in becoming the premier digital-led bank with a regional ASEAN reach. CIMB Thai Bank's unique ability in providing a complete, holistic, and carefully curated market access to the best wealth management solutions encompassing funds, bonds, structured notes, equity linked structured products, combined with insurance protection and wealth financing yield enhancers is what especially attracted Mr. Thiyachai Chong to the role at CIMB Thai Bank.

Mr. Thiyachai Chong started his investment management career in 2007 with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), one of the world's largest sovereign wealth fund managing over USD 800 billion in assets. Subsequently, he worked as a consultant at Thomson Reuters in New York City, USA and Vancouver, Canada, advising the world's leading asset managers, hedge funds and investment banks on investment and risk management strategies. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Commerce (Finance) from the University of British Columbia, Canada, and also completed a postgraduate exchange in Developmental Economics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
