The PARQ, the lifestyle mixed-use development integrating smart workplaces and retail under the concept of "Life Well Balanced," is hosting a series of contemporary art exhibitions "Art in The PARQ - Season 2". The event is set to be a new landmark where art and photography enthusiasts are welcome to enjoy three awe-inspiring activities, including the Bangkok Art Biennale 2022, the dynamic, never-before-seen photography competition One Shot Knockout, and Piece Place PARQ photo exhibition by Tanapol Kaewpring. Visitors can also participate in the other activities held alongside the main events, such as arts and crafts fairs, art workshops, creative art and DIY activities and photo booths. The Art in The PARQ - season 2 events will be held from late October 2022 until February 2023.
Art in The PARQ enters Season 2

The first activity in the lineup is the international contemporary art festival Bangkok Art Biennale 2022 in which The PARQ has stepped in as a venue sponsor for the second time. Scheduled to be exhibited this year is "Peasant Park" a video installation by Uninspired by Current Events. A computer graphics artist is known for his daily surreal renders inspired by current events. The video installation will feature monuments of Thailand and Bangkok city in the artist's signature style. The artwork is displayed at BAB Cafe (3rd floor) The PARQ. The other art piece to be featured in the festival at The PARQ is "Daily Stone" by Francesco Arena, an independent Italian artist whose practice includes performances, installations and sculptures. A part of a majestic natural stone's surface has been engraved to create two-plane surfaces to place the day's newspaper. In this way, the artwork constantly changes, keeping current with the current dispatch. In contrast to the ever-changing report, the stone, which has now become the carrier of the daily news, remains unchanged. Static and fleeting are the two elements of the Daily Stone, which could only be defined and complete once the newspaper and the stone are juxtaposed together. The art piece will be displayed at Q Space (outdoor) from now until February 23, 2023.

Following the opening of the Bangkok Art Biennale 2022, the "One Shot Knockout" photography competition will be held by The PARQ in partnership with the Royal Photographic Society of Thailand. Offering a prize purse of 125,000 baht in total, the contest will be limited to 100 contestants and organized in the form of a spontaneous, limited-time photography challenge in which contestants will not be aware of the assignments beforehand. Online application is available on the website of The Royal Photographic Society of Thailand (www.rpst.or.th) from now on. The competition will take place on October 29 at The PARQ. The winning photos will be displayed as part of the photo exhibition on the 2nd floor of The PARQ on December 1 - 23.

Finally, the black-and-white photo exhibition "Piece Place PARQ" will be held to showcase the beauty of five art pieces from The PARQ Collection through the perspective of Tanapol Kaewpring, an artist and freelance photographer. The 15 black and white photographs from "The PARQ Collection" in this exhibition are printed on a specially coated aluminum sheet. This technique helps add distinctive dimensions that distinguish the pieces from standard photo paper prints while also bringing out features in the photographs that might not be evident at ordinary viewing distances. This exhibition will take place from now December 31 on the 1st floor of The PARQ.

The PARQ is fully committed to organizing and supporting events for the art community. This artistic dedication combined with sustainable development, has earned The PARQ the title of the first mixed-use project in Thailand to ever achieve the certification of LEED 4 BD+C: Core and Shell, which is the latest standard for sustainable green building design and construction. The property also constantly seeks to promote the well-being of building occupants according to WELL standards by integrating art as a vital element in rehabilitating the minds of those in the building.
