Friday morning saw the official practice sessions take place, with Sandy and Akash's #25 Audi R8 GT3 Evo II showing strong form all day at the top of the timesheets.

The Thai-Malaysian pair enter the final round of the championship with just 5 points in hand over their rivals in second place. Saturday morning saw the qualifying sessions take place with Akash taking the wheel for Q1. The Malaysian driver managed to secure 2nd position for the start of Race 1 which took place on Saturday afternoon. In Q2 Sandy managed to secure 3rd position.

Race 1 took place shortly after Saturday morning's qualifying sessions, with Akash taking the wheel for the start. After a fantastic getaway, Akash claimed the lead and began building a gap to the championship rivals in second. The Malaysian driver drove a mega stint to open the gap to over 15 seconds, which meant when Sandy got into the car he was still in the lead. Now in a head-to-head battle with their championship rivals, Sandy focused on lapping consistently. With the top-speed advantage of the rivals, Sandy was eventually reeled in and the battle for the lead truly commenced. After a hard fight, the rivals suffered a catastrophic tire puncture, which put them out of the race. Sandy crossed the line to claim victory in the race and the 25 points needed to seal his third TSS Championship title.

Sunday morning saw the start of Race 2, with Sandy taking the start. The Thai driver took the start in 2nd position, but with a brilliant reaction managed to claim the lead into the first turn. Sandy led the race and came in to serve his drive-thru penalty on the first lap. After exiting the pits in last position, the Thai driver began chasing the field. As he caught back up to the pack, Sandy suffered a puncture and had to pit before the pit-window to change the tire. Akash jumped into the #25 B-Quik Absolute Racing Audi to finish the race in 9th position.

"I'm so happy to claim my third TSS title, it has been an extremely difficult fight this year but I'm incredibly proud of the work myself and my teammate Akash have put in, and to be rewarded like this makes every second worth it! I have to thank all my sponsors and partners that continue to support my passion. On to next year!" Says Sandy.
