Global payments platform 2C2P today announced the expansion of easy2send, its regional remittance platform, to support online real-time money remittance services from Thailand to China.
With this new offering, customers based in Thailand can transfer money in real-time inexpensively and securely to China via easy2send.[1] According to reports, China is the top destination for outbound remittances from Thailand[1], with more than double the dollar volumes of second place Myanmar.
Launched in 2019, easy2send already supports outbound money transfers from Thailand to Myanmar, Cambodia, Singapore and Vietnam.
According to World Bank data, remittance fees for the corridor from Thailand to China and other markets are amongst the highest globally. Through this expansion, easy2send will offer a low flat rate and no hidden charges for remittances to China. Small Thai import businesses, backpackers and parents of Thai students studying in China will be able to send money instantly using digital payment methods such as e-wallets. Customers can top up digital wallets through easyWallet, 2C2P's proprietary mobile wallet, at over 10,000 payment points in Thailand and make money transfers to recipients in China, as part of 2C2P's expanded payments network.
