Cargill recognized with two HR awards for its continued commitment to people

Cargill, a leading global food and agriculture company, Thailand's leading animal feed and cooked chicken producer, was awarded 'Best Companies to Work for in Asia Awards 2022' by HR Asia magazine, Asia's leading human resource management magazine, and 'Kincentric Best Employer Thailand Awards 2022', which was a collaboration between Kincentric, a leading global human resources consulting firm, and Thailand's Sasin School of Management. The recognition came after other awards presented to the company by Thai government, including one for 'Thailand Labor Management Excellence Award'.

For the "HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia Awards 2022", one of the criteria is employee's loyalty and relationship with the organization. An assessment of employees' participation and involvement with the company across all levels was conducted to determine the award receiver. The result of the assessment was credited to Cargill's commitment to encouraging employee engagement and creating a company culture that truly values employees and treats them fairly.

Shortly after the first award was announced, Cargill was also named the Kincentric Best Employer Thailand 2022 award winner. Cargill became the first company in the cooked chicken producer segment to receive this prestigious award. Through a rigorous process, Kincentric Best Employer Thailand Award assesses four measurable people factors -- employee engagement, agility, leadership, and talent focus. An employee engagement survey was conducted by culture and engagement survey experts. This process involves three levels of data collection, including questionnaire filled by over 2,000 Cargill employees, information collected from the Human Resource Department and in-depth interview of the company's management covering a wide range of areas, such as recruitment process, employee selection policy, talent attraction, work design, employee and organizational development, disciplinary measures, and performance management.

Mr. Watcharapon Prasopkiatpoka, Managing Director of Cargill Protein Southeast Asia and Country Representative for Cargill in Thailand, remarked, "Cargill works towards positively impacting the lives of people and communities all around the world. As an organization, we believe that people are our most precious resource, and it is through their work that we are able to ensure quality food and feed reaches those who need it. These awards underline our commitment to our people and encourage us to continue to build an inclusive culture where people can be at their best every-day."

These awards are the latest in a series of recognitions Cargill has received for its workplace culture in Asia. The two awards emphasized that Cargill's strong people focus is the right direction and that the company has effectively translated its values into real actions, which span from ensuring physical safety to mental wellness as well as providing a good work environment.

At Cargill Thailand, more than half of senior manager positions are filled by women and employees with disability have equal access to skill training and enjoy similar career development opportunities as everyone else. Starting hybrid work policy, enhancing employees' knowledge and competency through trainings and self-learning on online platforms, and promoting gender equality are among many other initiatives the company has adopted to enhance employees' work-life balance, career progression and helping them achieve their full potential.
