A feast for the eyes and a delight for the senses, the scrumptious new "Summer Guestronomic Dining Journey" at Elements, inspired by Ciel Bleu is a celebration of the beautiful summer colours, textures, and flavours of the season, presented as picture-perfect portraits on the plate. The Okura Prestige Bangkok's Michelin-starred restaurant, which is famed for its refine French cuisine prepared with delicate Japanese infuses, is delighted to serve the "Summer Guestronomic Dining Journey" from 21 June 2023. The new seasonal menu uses artisanal ingredients focus on uplifting seasonal flavours to excite the appetite.

The summer months represent sunny days of leisure in the great outdoors, fun-packed road trips and activity-filled holidays by the sea. It is a time of year when the world seems altogether more vibrant, which is why renowned Chef de Cuisine Gerard Villaret Horcajo has carefully crafted a spectacular set menu that takes patrons on an exciting culinary joy-ride that showcases summer's bounty in its prime.

"I'm an outdoor person so I love this time of year," says Chef Gerard. "It's the season of vivid colours and nature bursting forth. Everything seems to be flourishing with plants, trees and flowers blossoming and fruits and vegetables growing. There is a special scent in a fresh summer's breeze, a kind of sweetness, and I have intentionally concentrated on the fragrant qualities of the produce used in this menu. I am inspired by the season because it reminds me of the beach and the summer holidays. I want to recapture that excitement using culinary canvas that paints uplifting summer pictures on both plate and palate."

Sizzling seasonal highlights in the "Summer Guestronomic Dining Journey" include succulent and colourful 'Kyoto Rock Oyster' with Nakhon Pathom goat cheese, Codium seaweed, and cucumber; falvourful and aromatic 'Kinki Fish' served with ninjin, Vadouvan sauce and lovage; the beautifully 'Zucchini Flower - Provencale' with black truffle bechamel, naganegi (Japanese garlic), and 24-month aged Comte; and a mouth-watering 'Japanese Queil - Ballotine' with nasu dengaku (Japanese eggplant), smoked eel, and Poulete Veloute sauce. The sweetness of the season is also celebrated by Chef Gerard with a memorable dessert called 'Lorraine Mirabelle' - a full-flavoured sweet French plum offering kissed with the wonderfully refreshing flavours of fragrant lemon verbena yogurt, young ginger and jasmine.

Available from 21 June 2023, the 'Mizu' 8-course experience is priced at Baht 6,200++ per person; the 'Chikyu' 6-course experience is priced at Baht 4,800++ per person; and the 'Ku-Ki' 4-course experience is priced at Baht 4,100++ per person.
