Taking a closer look at Thailand, it has set a visionary goal to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by or before 2065, resulting in the growing popularity of solar-powered homes as a green lifestyle choice in the nation. As a renewable and affordable source of power, solar energy has an increasingly important role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating climate change, which is critical to protecting humans, ecosystems, and society.
Towards this goal, Huawei Thailand, committed to promoting sustainable digital power through its solar roof solutions, has joined efforts with ICBC (Thai) Leasing to launch the program of '0 Investment, Let the Sun Pay for You' to encourage the usage of affordable and innovative solar rooftop solutions among Thai households.
In this transformative journey, Mr. Xiaobo Li, Chairman of ICBC (Thai) Leasing, emphasized their collaboration with Huawei to accelerate clean energy adoption, as market trends indicate a growing number of households in Thailand shifting to solar rooftops to save on electricity costs.
To support Thailand's vision of embracing a green and sustainable future, Huawei is dedicated to integrating digital and power electronics technologies and driving energy revolution. Mr. David Li, CEO of Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., also highlighted their joint campaign with ICBC (Thai) Leasing to dispel the misconception that solar rooftops are expensive, paving the way toward a green and sustainable future for Thailand.
Through this partnership, Thai homeowners can benefit from the program '0 Investment, Let the Sun Pay for You' with a minimum down payment of 16,900 THB and a payment period of up to 7 years. After installing the solution, the saved electricity bill can be used for monthly installment, meaning they can acquire solar systems within around 5 years without any additional investment. At its core, the program helps Thai people embrace green energy utilization on a wider scale.
