The Korean Embassy and Korean Cultural Center in Thailand hosted Korea-Thailand Friendship Music Festival on 3rd October at Iconsiam, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of its establishment and 65th diplomatic anniversary of Korea and Thailand.

On 3rd October, Korean National Day, various Korean culture was on the stage including the concert of Korean representative soprano Sumi Jo and Taekwondo show from Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team.

At 7PM, 'Korea-Thailand Harmony of Friendship Concert' began at TrueIcon Hall in Iconsiam, which world-famous Soprano Sumi Jo, Violinist Zia Hyunsu Shin, Musical singer Disakorn Disayanon and Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra are featured. The seats at the concert were filled with around 2,500 audiences including the diplomatic corps.

Prior to the concert, Mr. Ham, Jeonghan, Charge d'affaires of the Korean Embassy emphasized that Korea and Thailand are pivotal partners in achieving prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region and hope the bilateral cooperation will be more vitalized on economy, soft power and people-to-people exchange. He also requested audience's support and encouragement for the 2030 Busan World Expo, which the Korean government is making national efforts to host during his welcoming remarks.

Khunying Pattama, the member of IOC (International Olympic Committee) and Chairperson of Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, said "Both countries cooperation has been strengthened especially in sports. Coach Choi Young-seok and Panipak, not only won gold medals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games this year, but also help tighten the cordial ties between the two countries." She also congratulated the 10th anniversary of the Korean Cultural Center for its establishment and wished for further progress and successes of the Center during her Congratulatory Remarks.

Soprano Sumi Jo, World-renowned and the most popular artist in Korea, sung various numbers such as 'Ah! Je Veux Vivre' from the Opera 'Romeo et Juliette', Korean Song 'In the cloud of flowers' and 'I could have danced all night' from the Musical 'My Fair Lady'. She donated 300,000 THB to Vocational Training Center for the Blind Women at Sampran to help visually impaired women's education.

The concert was the stage of cultural exchange, as Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra played the Korean Songs and Thai Song 'Impossible Dream' composed by H.M.King Adulyadej was sung by Disakorn Disayanon.

After the concert, the embassy and the center hosted 'Korean-Thai Harmony of the friendship' stage. Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team showed a magical performance with breath-taking Taekwondo skills. The Korean-Thai idol group 'The Seven', 'PlanB' and the girl group 'Berry Berry' also performed to strengthen Korean-Thai friendship.
