Mr. Kenny Yong, the Managing Director of Fireworks Media (Thailand) Co., Ltd revealed that the company has been organizing trade shows in Thailand for 12 consecutive years. This first started with "Oil & Gas Thailand (OGET)," an event showcasing technologies related to the oil and gas industry. Over time, it expanded to cover the maritime, shipbuilding and offshore industries with "Thailand Marine & Offshore Expo (TMOX)" and "Powerex Asia 2023." These three industries have overlapping product interests, leading to the simultaneous organization of these events in a space of over 5,000 square meters. It is expected that more than 6,000 participants from various leading organizations will attend these events. The event also provides areas for business negotiations.
The "Thailand Marine & Offshore Expo (TMOX) 2023 marks its 7th consecutive year, Oil & Gas Thailand (OGET) 2023 celebrates its 12th, and Powerex Asia 2023 comes to its 4th. All of these three events are held annually and usually bring together leading international companies to showcase the latest technological advancements in their respective sectors. Event participants include entrepreneurs, investors, both domestic and foreign, high-level executives, and anyone interested in the industries," said Mr. Yong.
Captain Pridsadang Kadkhuntod, President of the Thai Shipbuilding and Repairing Association, said that Thailand is a leader in the maritime and shipping industry in the region. The shipbuilding and ship repairing industry is a fundamental economic sector that links with the maritime economy, leading to job creation and the development of related industries such as communication equipment, marine equipment, machinery and engine manufacturing, electrical and electronic industries, as well as steel and steel products.
At present, 90% of international trade relies on water transportation due to its ability to handle large volumes of goods at cheaper costs, compared to other modes of transport. At the same time, the shipbuilding and ship repairing industry are also crucial for stabilizing the country's economy.
"This event can be another channel for enhancing the capacity of entrepreneurs in Thailand's shipbuilding and ship repairing industry in terms of technology, innovation, and knowledge. It also serves as a platform for business collaboration among industry players in Asia and globally," said Captain Pridsadang.
Regarding the support for this event, Mr. Puripan Bunnag, Senior Vice President of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), said the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry is a crucial force in developing the country's economy with innovation. It helps promote sustainable prosperity and income distribution to every sector. The industry serves as an important linkage between the public and private sectors to promote, support, and enhance the international standards of conference and exhibition management.

The "Thailand Marine & Offshore Expo (TMOX) 2023," the "Oil & Gas Thailand (OGET) 2023," and the "Powerex Asia 2023" events will be held from 18-20 October 2023, from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The event's venue is at Hall 101, BITEC Bangna.
