CP Foods was recognized with the prestigious CAC Change Agent Award 2023 for its proactive role in motivating SMEs to counteract corruption, awarded by the Thai Private Sector Collective Action Against Corruption (CAC). This accolade underscores CP Foods' commitment to fostering the integration of SME suppliers into the CAC SMEs program, reinforcing anti-corruption measures, and promoting a transparent business supply chain.

Ms. Thidarat Dechayonbuncha, Head of Procurement at CP Foods, accepted the award on behalf of the company from Dr. Kulpatra Sirodom, CAC Chairman, during the CAC National Conference 2023 at the Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok.

Ms. Thidarat reiterated that the award underscores the company's resolve to support SME suppliers in adopting solid corporate governance and anti-corruption policies. This initiative is pivotal in enhancing supplier competencies, focusing on operational efficiency and transparency.

CP Foods seriously endorses the adoption of stringent internal controls among its suppliers. This strategic move is aimed at curtailing the risk of corruption, both within and external to the company. The initiative strives to establish a transparent food value chain, spanning from raw material procurement to food production, logistics, and retail. This transparency builds trust among consumers and the wider society, contributing to enduring economic development.

CP Foods champions exemplary practices in corruption management among its SME business partners by offering trainings to bolster their grasp of corporate governance and transparency. Moreover,  the company is broadening business prospects with partners who actively engage in the anti-corruption movement, thus nurturing sustainable business growth, said Ms. Thidarat.

The awards are bestowed upon organizations that adhere to CAC's standards for anti-corruption conduct. Additionally, recipients are expected to extend the anti-corruption business network by encouraging a minimum of 10 SMEs in their supply chain to participate in the CAC SMEs program within the year. This initiative is aimed at fortifying anti-bribery protocols and ensuring a transparent supply chain.

This year, CP Foods has disseminated knowledge and shared anti-corruption expertise with its 264 SME partners, culminating in 12 SME companies pledging to confront all forms of corruption.
