SCCC Commits to Good Corporate Governance and "Anti-Corruption - No Gift" policy

Emphasizing its anti-corruption stance, Siam City Cement Public Company Limited (SCCC) joined the recent International Anti-Corruption Day by actively promoting its "Anti-Corruption - No Gift" policy and reinforcing its commitment to upholding good governance practices.

Mr. Montri Nithikul, CEO of Thailand Cement Business for Siam City Cement Public Company Limited (SCCC), revealed that "Siam City Cement Group is dedicated to conducting business in accordance with a framework of good governance and places significant importance on all stakeholders, which in turn has contributed positively to the group's revenue in 2023."Amongst nearly 800 companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand, SCCC has been acknowledged many times for its commitment to good corporate governance including being one of only 405 companies with 5-star or excellent evaluation results from the Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD) in 2023. It is also included amongst 226 companies that have AGM Checklist evaluation results in the 5-Medal Group or Excellent from The Thai Investors Association and is amongst 193 sustainable stocks that have received evaluation results from the Stock Exchange of Thailand's SET ESG Ratings at the AA level. At the ASEAN level, SCCC remains one of the 76 SET listed companies in the ASEAN Asset Class Publicly Listed Companies in 2021, the most recent evaluation conducted by The ASEAN Capital Markets Forum.

Siam City Cement Group is proud to have been a member of the Thai Private Sector Collective Action Against Corruption (CAC) since 2017 and this commitment has fortified the group's dedication to addressing anti-corruption, elevating the standard of transparent business operations and adhering to the principles of good governance. Simultaneously, it underscores the company's stance in contributing to the anti-corruption efforts in Thailand. This ensures that business partners, investors and consumers can trust in the transparency and fairness governed by laws, rules, and regulations associated with the company's business operations. 

Mr. Montri also highlighted that the No Gift policy - a practice consistently emphasized by Siam City Cement Group - is an important part of their anti-corruption strategy. "This policy dictates that employees and executives adhere to specific conditions and refrain from accepting gifts, souvenirs or any other benefits from external parties in all instances. This proactive stance aims to prevent conflicts of interest while fostering a transparent organizational culture, and aligns with the principles of good corporate governance."
