Social Development and Human Security Minister Varawut Silpa-archa assigned Nikorn Chamnong, Chairman of the Advisory Committee to the Minister of Social Development and Human Security to hold a dialogue with a group of young activists called the "Youth Project" led by a 16-year-old Kittitouch Prasertsuntarasai, on the occasion of the World Down Syndrome Day that has been officially recognized as the 21st of March by the United Nations since 2012.
Tearing Down Stereotypes: MSDSH and Young Advocates Aim to Empower Individuals with Down Syndrome

This group of youth has initiated series of activities and events dedicated to safeguard the well-being and the quality of life of the people affected with intellectual disabilities as well as to bring awareness on the need for inclusion and respect for persons with down syndrome.

The meeting was also attended by government officials from related departments including Department of Children and Youth (DCY) and Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities at meeting room 1, 8th floor, Department of Social Development and Welfare, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.
