Boonserm Charoenwat, Senior Director at CP Foods, shared that CP Foods, specifically within its terrestrial animal feed division, has embraced and refined the TPM methodology among its leadership and workforce. This collective effort aims to elevate the production process, ensuring active participation across all levels, both in Thailand and Vietnam. This dedication has resulted in the acquisition of three TPM awards from Japan: the Khon Kaen Feed Mill was recognized with the Award for TPM Excellence, Category A; the Sriracha feed plant was celebrated for its Excellence in Consistent TPM Commitment; and the Binh Duong feed facility of C.P. Vietnam marked a significant milestone as the first Vietnamese factory to receive such an honor.

From 2015 to 2022, CP Foods' Feed Business, operating in both Thailand and Vietnam, has received the Award for TPM Excellence, Category A, a total of 19 times, along with 6 awards for Excellence in Consistent TPM commitment. These achievements reflect the organization's success in optimizing production efficiency, minimizing losses, and bolstering business competitiveness, all while maintaining a steadfast commitment to sustainable societal, environmental, and community welfare.

In 2023, factories from 16 countries, encompassing a total of 83 companies, were assessed by Japanese TPM experts from the JIPM Institute (Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance). The evaluation focused on five key areas: 1.) Effective factory management through the implementation of policy (Policy Deployment) from vision to defining operational indicators and objectives; 2.) A reliability assessment system that ensures the system is practical and generates positive outcomes in line with TPM principles; 3.) The personnel aspect, evaluating the skills and capabilities of employees at all levels for continuous improvement (Kaizen) and loss elimination, especially among machine operators; 4.) Results, appraising work consistency with the system and personnel capabilities, including the rationality of indicators, goal challenges, and achievements; and 5.) Participation, assessing the involvement in problem-solving and loss elimination by all employees across various departments.
