Federal Express (FedEx) has been honoured as the "Best Employer" in Thailand by world-wide consulting firm Hewitt Associates.

The Award ceremony, to be held on October 16 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Bangkok, will be presided over by Khun Wan Muhamad Nor Matha, Minister of Transport & Communications.
The Best Employers In Asia Awards are the result of an Asia-wide survey of employees that examined people management practices in many of the region's leading organizations, including FedEx Thailand.
FedEx Thailand Managing Director, Mr Rhicke Jennings, paid tribute to his staff of more than 360, and said he was proud and honoured that they recognized FedEx as Thailand's best employer.
"This award underscores FedEx's 'People-First philosophy' that consists of putting our employees first and equipping them with the working environment that allows them to grow both as FedEx employees and individuals." Mr Jennings said.
"At FedEx, we believe that our people are the heart and soul of our company, without whom we could not deliver to our customers the outstanding service for which we are renown. It is our commitment to our employees that helps drive our business growth. This is the reason why we continually look at ways to ensure the right environment for our employees to excel, which will be the basis of our future successes."
"By nurturing such a positive and progressive working environment, I know that FedEx employees here in Thailand are in turn delivering the very best service to our customers," Mr Jennings added.
In addition to its distinction in Thailand, FedEx was also recognized as one of the top five Best Employers in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia and among the top 10 in Singapore and Korea.
