Bangkok--Feb 17--PR Press Network
New service connects public relations executives with radio professionals looking for content, guests and material.
The PR Press Network — a provider of free services and tools for the UK’s media industry — has launched ReachRadio (http://www.reachradio.co.uk), a unique new service for PR/marketing professionals and UK broadcasters.
“The service can be seen as a creative marketplace for public relations companies and radio broadcasters,” said PR Press Network owner/operator Tracey Hopkin. “We have a growing list of UK broadcasters and another of UK PR people. We receive offers of radio-friendly content from the PR companies, vet them for suitability, then pass them on to the broadcasters.
“We also receive requests for content from the broadcasters and pass them on to the PR/marketing people. It’s very, very simple, but highly effective, and within the first 24 hours of operation we’d sent a number of requests and offers via the service.”
A US ReachRadio service is planned for later in 2004, said Hopkin, and other regions may be covered if there is demand.
The service is free for both PR and radio professionals. The PR Press Network already operates a number of free media websites, including mediaposts.com (http://www.mediaposts.com), a free jobs board for the UK; prposts.com (http://www.prposts.com), a free jobs board focusing on the public relations industry; newsnext.com (http://www.newsnext.com), a free editorial forward planning tool; AgencyWire (http://www.agencywire.com), a free email newsletter for the public relations and marketing industry; and ClickProfiles (http://www.clickprofiles.com), a directory of links to newsworthy UK company profiles.
