Partnership Celebration of The Oil Terminal and Retail Business Development between PTTOR and Brighter Energy Company Limited and Brighter Energy Retail Company Limited, subsidiaries of Kanbawza (KBZ) Group of Company Limited is held at Lotte Hotel, Yangon, Myanmar. According to Mr. Auttapol, PTTOR as a flagship company of PTT Group in oil and retail business, aims to be a leading Thai global brand enriching community values through oil, retail and related businesses, inclusively with all stakeholders to achieve a sustainable growth together. PTTOR is pleased to be engaged in these joint ventures with KBZ Group, one of the largest privately - own group of companies in Myanmar. Myanmar has long been the target of PTTOR for oil, petroleum and full-scale retail business expansion since it has important supporting factors for the company's long-term investments. The agreements today cover two joint projects. One is the development of oil terminal with Brighter Energy Company Limited which includes the procurement of petroleum products, management of jetty, oil storage terminal, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) filling plants and wholesale business of petroleum products. Due to be completed in 2021, this project will become the largest oil terminal in Myanmar with the capacity of 1 million barrels of oil and 4,500 metric tonnes of LPG. Another project is the retail business expansion with Brighter Energy Retail Company Limited for which successful brands under PTTOR will be introduced here to provide local consumers with the notable retail experience. These brands include PTT Station, LPG or cooking Gas and Cafe Amazon.
Mr. Auttapol adds that the concept of the joint operation of PTT stations in Myanmar remains the "Living Community" like in Thailand where PTTOR cooperates with local vendors, communities and small and medium - sized enterprises (SMEs) to grow their businesses together with PTT station expansion. Here in Myanmar, the company plans to expand to 70 stations within 2023. Currently, PTTOR operates over 2,000 PTT stations in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and the Philippines. As for the LPG or cooking gas, PTTOR will tap the local market highlighting the product quality and safety with a sales target of 1,000 metric tonnes per month. In addition, PTTOR will focus on the operation of Cafe Amazon and expects the business to substantially grow in line with the rising coffee consumption among local people. In Myanmar, there are currently 7 branches and the company plans to increase to 100 branches within the year 2023. Cafe Amazon now has over 2,800 branches in Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines, Japan, Singapore and Oman.
