Bangkok--18 May--Ensign Media
Thailand Property Report, the country’s only dedicated real estate newspaper, hosted its second anniversary party at the Watermark Restaurant & Bar in the Boat Lagoon Phuket on Thursday 11th May. The ‘Phuket Property Night’, sponsored by developer Raimon Land, was a great success.
Guests enjoyed an array of delicious Pacific Rim canap?s courtesy of the Watermark’s catering team and free flowing cocktails, wine and beer throughout the evening. Over 200 people attended to hear Henri Young, development manager of Raimon Land and Mark Currie, internet sales manager of Ensign Media speak, and for a night of networking.
“We were very impressed by the turnout,” Duncan Worthington, managing director of Ensign Media said. “As a long time supporter of the local property industry, we were pleased that its members chose to reciprocate by their presence on the night. The high turnout is not only a positive reflection on Thailand Property Report, but also on how far the industry itself has come in the past couple of years. I firmly believe that Thailand now has the best to offer regional property investors in terms of quality, value for money and professionalism.”
Since debuting in May 2004, Thailand Property Report has established itself as the number one news source for industry professionals and private investors in the country and has a readership of over 80,000. The publications signature emphasis on measured analysis and in-depth reportage was reflected in the evening’s two well researched presentations.
Henri Young spoke on the subject of Marketing Phuket Internationally and argued that agents and developers currently competed too aggressively, and should co-operate more in order to find or develop a universal vehicle for promoting the Phuket property market. Challenges such as zoning, ownership structures and infrastructure problems could then be more effectively met, if this were to happen, he said.
Mark Currie covered Effective Web Marketing and demonstrated that all industry professionals needed to be aware of the power of the internet and should embrace it as a medium to sell their products. According to his research approximately 29.6% of internet users connect to the net via a high-speed connection and over half a billion people worldwide now have Internet access. Thailand has the ninth largest Internet population in the world.
“Regardless of whether people are in the buying or rental process, real estate sites offer valuable content and help streamline the laborious process,” he said. “With a broad audience of qualified buyers, more of those looking to sell properties have begun to realise the benefits of posting online, in addition to traditional newspaper and magazine advertising."
His main example of how marketing ideas could be put into practice was www.property-report.com , Ensign Media’s Asia wide real estate news portal. Following heavy demand on the night, both presentations are now available for download at property-report.com.
