Bangkok--24 May--DTAC
DTAC is on the move to rapidly provide relief to flood victims in the three Northern provinces.
As floodwater has since last night ravaged many districts in Phrae, Uttaradit and Sukhothai with up to 60,000 people affected, DTAC today joined forces with the Phuan Phueng (Pha) Yam Yak Foundation, Ruam Duay Chuay Kan (public service radio station) and local chambers of commerce to set up an emergency centre to provide food and clean water to those living in the areas. The company has also prepared 2,000 bags containing relief supplies, to be distributed through Ruam Duay Chuay Kan’s community network to flood victims. Emergency rescue teams have already been in the field and are working closely with the Phuan Phueng (Pha) Yam Yak Foundation to inspect the damage and build temporary shelters for the victims.
