Market for Alternative Investment (mai) and the Thai investors’ Association (TIA) will co-host ‘mai Company Visits’, providing an opportunity for TIA members, investors and the general public to visit firms listed on mai. The program will commence in June 2006.
The President of mai, Mr. Chanitr Charnchainarong, announced that mai recently held a Thai Investors’ Day under the theme: ‘mai…The New Investment Beat’. The event received enthusiastic support, with more than 2,500 visitors participating during May 6 — 7. People were obviously keen to learn more about firms listed on mai.
The Company Visit program will allow potential investors to visit mai-listed companies and observe them in day-to-day operations, thus gaining a more reality-based understanding.
“The activity is intended to enlarge the base of quality investors in mai. Although the program provides an opportunity for the 37 mai-listed firms to raise their profile, it also enables investors to visit these companies before making investment decisions,” the mai President said.
President of TIA Mr. Vichai Poolwaraluck said that the mai Company Visit program will be open to TIA members, investors, and anyone else who is interested. Importantly, they will have the opportunity of speaking directly with the companies’ executives.
As part of the ‘mai Company Visit’ program, Interlink Communication PCL and 124 Communications PCL will be showcasing their companies at Suvarnabhumi Airport on June 15. Later, on July 13, Unique Mining Services PCL and Thai Plaspac PCL will be open for a ‘company visit’.
