] in recognition of THAI’s operations and services which have reached ISO environmental international standard.

The award ensures the implementation of ISO 14001 standardization was part of the company’s effort to raise greater awareness and help prevent further damage to the environment.”
The ISO 14001 standard is a major environmental management standard. The sufficiency economy theory has been applied to THAI’s environmental policy, which determines the impact of the company’s products, activities and services on the environment.
THAI employs such management techniques to systematically reduce the impact on the environment of its operations under the airline’s control. The company’s office supplies management and staff are encouraged to preserve energy, including employing energy substitution techniques where possible.
In addition, “THAI’s ISO 14001 Responses to Global Warming” seminar and exhibition were organized recently to provide comprehensive information on the current situation of the world's environmental conditions. The booths highlighted products that are environmentally friendly in the areas of green house gases, garbage recycling and the sufficiency economic theory in response to global warming.
The ISO 14001 standard has been implemented as part of THAI’s environmental policy since 2000. The company has also received ISO 14001 certification for other departments such as Head Office, Laksi Office, Lanluang Office, the Technical Department and Operation Centre and the Ground Customer Services Department.
