The presentation was made at the AWC’s annual gala fund raising event on October 4, 2008, with the proceeds being donated to the Chaiyapruk Foundation, whose long-established “Living Tree” project provides a home in Nakhon Nayok for orphans.
Raimon Land Senior Vice President Communications, Kwanrudee Maneewongwatthana, said: “Raimon Land remains firmly committed to making a positive contribution to Thailand in spite of the challenging times facing the property industry.
“Our annual donation to the AWC is a fine example of this and our resolve to continue our CSR activities is central to our core values.”
The AWC is a non-profit group dedicated to promoting friendship and cooperation between the expatriate community and Thai women through social, cultural and philanthropic activities. The AWC annually provides 400 scholarships to underprivileged women throughout Thailand.
Among Raimon Land’s most recent CSR ventures include building dormitories in Bangkok’s Klong Toey community for the Human Development Foundation’s Mercy Centre and supporting the Sanuk Community Centre for children of construction labourers’ in Pattaya operated by the Melissa Cosgrove Children's Foundation.
Raimon Land recently won the prestigious Best Developer Award for the second consecutive year on its way to sweeping four categories at the Thailand Property Awards 2008.
