Ambassadors for Thailand Tourism

When Thailand’s tourism suffers, we all suffer. But though visitor numbers may be down, there is much we can do to hasten the reversal of this trend. At Asia City Thailand, we’ve been promoting all that the Kingdom has to offer for over eight years. Through BK Magazine and sister publications in Hong Kong (HK), Singapore (I-S) and Shanghai (SH), travel publications Holiday Asia and Where, and our marketing solutions company, Asia City Splash, our reach is wide and our influence great. It’s safe to say that we’ve encouraged hundreds of thousands of people to holiday in Thai style.

This year it’s more important than ever to get the message out, which is why we’re especially proud of our upcoming Thailand Hot Spots Guide. For the first time ever, we’ve created a product in our Bangkok office that is tailored to overseas tourists, focusing and five key areas: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Hua Hin, Phuket and Samui. On October 16, this full-color, 32-page guide will be distributed with HK Magazine and I-S Magazine. A downloadable version will also be available online and easily accessible from any of our regional websites.

In addition, joining our regular travel coverage in BK Magazine, we’re paying special attention to the Phuket in a series that kicks off September 16 with a cover story in BK Magazine. This will be followed by special companion guides in December and March that spotlight the island’s natural beauty, nightlife, arts, food & drink and more.

“Nearly a year ago, we started Downturn Deals, specially signposted travel deals in BK with a companion micro-site on BKmagazine.com. The response in Thailand has been tremendous, both from readers and the travel industry,” says Gregoire Glachant, Managing Editor of BK Magazine. “With Hot Spots, we hope to get that kind of reaction in Hong Kong and Singapore, just in time for high season.”

Advertising opportunities include special rates for Thailand Hot Spots (book before September 7) as well as value-for-money bundles covering the guide, BK Magazine display and online.
