Thai leading shopping centres join THAI launches ‘World @ Thai’, a new world class privilege

Four leading shopping centres; Siam Paragon Siam Center, The Emporium and Siam Discovery are supporting a new initiative to boost domestic travel and shopping with “World @ Thai”, a new world class privilege card for Thai Airways International passengers. The privilege gives THAI passengers holding a boarding pass, up to 10% discount at Siam Paragon, The Emporium, Siam Center and Siam Discovery shopping centres and a special discount of up to 70% in department stores plus additional privileges for first class and business class passengers such as a personal stylist, and premium giveaways. The campaign runs until 30 April 2011.

Travel loving celebrities attending the launch event and who shared their experiences as they became the first to receive The Pride of Thai privilege card included Sirikul Opaswong, Kamron Pramoj Na Ayutthaya and actress Chompoo-Araya A Hargett.

Kriengsak Tantiphipop, Executive Chief Marketing officer of Siam Paragon and Managing Director of The Emporium said, “Siam Paragon, Siam Center, The Emporium and Siam Discovery are leading shopping destinations noted for creating an especially enjoying shopping experience for all customers. “World @ THAI” is a collaboration between four shopping centres and THAI Airways specially designed to support both domestic travel and to boost the local economy.

THAI passengers holding the new privilege card can present their boarding pass to any customer relations counter at the four shopping centres to immediately receive “The Pride of Thai” card which offers a 5-10 % discount for shopping in the department stores and a 70% discount voucher from more than 300 shops. Passengers will also get privileges from Siam Ocean World, Paragon Cineplex, Big Loft, Mob.F, Coffee Bean by Dao, Asia Books and Laser Definition.

First class and business class passengers will get special privileges such as personal stylist and premium gifts only at Siam Paragon and The Emporium.

Mr. Teerapol Chotichanapibal, Managing Director, Catering Department and Acting Executive Vice President, Commercial Department, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, said that THAI has always placed high importance on granting special privileges to passengers. During August, THAI launched the "Your THAI Boarding Pass has Value" project with the cooperation of various entities as another means of boosting Thai tourism and offer passengers added benefits.

In particular, THAI has joined with Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery and The Emporium to grant special privileges under the “World @THAI” program for passengers holding THAI boarding passes on travel flown on all THAI flights and in all classes of travel. Passengers merely show their boarding pass stubs for travel completed on domestic and international flights at the Customer Service Counters of 4 department stores: Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery and The Emporium. THAI’s Royal First Class and Royal Silk Class passengers will receive a maximum of 10 percent discount and Economy Class passengers will receive 5 percent discount for shopping at these 4 department stores, in addition to many special privileges, from the month of August through to 30 April 2011.
