The Grand Opening of 3rd Retailer Expo Addresses the Theme “Build up the Future, Define the Present and Inherit the Past”

Siam Makro Public Co., Ltd. the operator of wholesale trade centers, announced the grand opening of “The 3rd Retailer Expo” from 16-19 September 2010 at IMPACT Center, Muang Thong Thani under the concept “Build up the Future, Define the Present and Inherit the Past.” Visitors are invited to witness the replicas of retailer stores in the future, present and past as well as participate in various activities, performances and seminar tracks by experts from recognized bodies. The only event for small retailers with free admission, the 3rd Retailer Expo is exclusively dedicated to everyone in retailing business.

Suchada Ithijarukul, Chief Executive Officer, Siam Makro Public Co., Ltd., revealed that the 3rd Retailer Expo has been scheduled to be held during 16-19 September 2010 between 10.00-19.00 hrs. at Exhibition Hall 1 and 2, IMPACT Center, Muang Thong Thani. The other important objectives of this expo are to make the new generation aware of importance of the traditional retailers which is the symbol of Thai culture; to develop family retailers’ business for their sustainable growth by recommending guidelines to make more income for their retailing shops and to open opportunities for business owners and product manufactures to exchange ideas on business operations as well as to jointly define directions of Thai retailers in the future. The budget to organize the event is 25 million baht. This event would attract 60,000 owners of retailers, small retailers and the interested persons. For the first two days, the target visitors are owners of retailers and small retailers. On the other hand, the last two days will target interested persons.

“The arrangement of the 3rd Retailer Expo is one of the important activities of “Makro Retailer Alliance (MRA) Project” that Makro is strongly committed and invests a lot of co-operations and ideas to create concepts on expo arrangement so that Thai retailers can be developed and gained much new knowledge on retailing management.
