The Speakeasy welcomes Michelin Star Chef Jean Baptiste Natali (JB) and sophisticated vintage French menus to become city’s best rooftop venue.

Hotel Muse Bangkok’s extraordinary 1920’s-era sub rosa club concept, The Speakeasy, is to undergo a transformation to become the city’s rooftop eatery, following the introduction of new food menus inspired by Michelin Star Chef Jean Baptiste Natali (JB) starting from December 2013 onwards.

Already one of Bangkok’s most impressive rooftop venues, Speakeasy will increase its magnificent and evocative visuals, stunning views and dynamic themed drinks menus with top-flight cuisine created in the style of “The Forgotten French Dishes” inspired by Jean Baptiste. Speakeasy’s new menu is all about vintage, and so is presented in synergy with the overall aesthetic and vibe of this popular venue; they will offer exquisite old-timer French delicacies created from local ingredients and presented in Natali’s own unique way, drawing inspiration from the cuisine he creates at his French country retreat and orchard, which has catered to luminary guests such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and former French President Nicholas Sarkozy.

“It’s necessary to bring some freshness and dynamism to the menu, and that will include local produce where possible. This involves changing the guidelines, offering an atmosphere and bringing some harmony and understanding,” Natali says, adding, “For a restaurant it is not only the cooking, which is important, it's an experience of different elements which need to connect which each other. I will go for a natural way of cooking, elegant sophistication which complements The Speakeasy and its pure-fun elegance aspects.”

The Speakeasy is pleased to also introduce new Executive Chef, Kunchit Srimuang, who will be tasked with the on-going implementation of the venue’s exciting new menu creations.
