AIS is pleased to announce the world's first data roaming service in Myanmar. AIS or Advanced Info Service (Public) Co., Ltd. becomes the only operator in the world to provide data roaming service in Myanmar to its customers.

Mr. Pratthana Leelapanang, Senior Vice President - Digital Product and Services of Advanced Info Service Public Co.,Ltd. or AIS, disclosed “This roaming arrangement is possible due to the close collaboration and excellent relations between AIS and MPT Myanmar.”

“It is essential for us to establish data roaming service with Myanmar as it is Thailand’s neighboring country with a large number of Thai people visiting the country for business and leisure. With AIS Data Roaming Service, our customers can now stay online while travelling in Myanmar.”

“Moreover, our customers can enjoy data roaming service in Myanmar with great savings. AIS offers three “Super Value Data Roaming” packages for around 6 Baht per MB: 50 MB for 1-day usage period, 150 MB for 3 days, and 250 MB for 5 days. Our postpaid customers can subscribe to the packages from today onwards. For our prepaid customers, the packages will be available from 14 January onwards.”

“Furthermore, our postpaid customers can use data roaming service in Myanmar with peace of mind and “No Bill Shock”. “AIS No Worry Data Roaming Service” helps to control data roaming expense transparently and in real time. Our system will notify customers when their subscribed packages are about to be used up in order to prevent unintentional expenses and will stop usage when customers’ pre-defined data roaming expense limit is reached.”

“Last but not least, we have established voice roaming service in Myanmar since September 2011 and SMS roaming service since 9 December 2013. These are parts of our continuous efforts to offer world class services to our customers.”

“Our customers can subscribe to the “Super Value Data Roaming” package prior to the trip at AIS CALL CENTER 1175 or AIS shops nationwide from today. While travelling in Myanmar, contact AIS CALL CENTER by dialing +66 22719000.”
