AMATA organizes Job Fair Festival 2014

Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate in collaboration with the Province of Chonburi and E. Tech. College opens the 11th “Chonburi Job Fair Festival 2014”, in which more than 300 companies are invited and have joined to open their booth. More than 10,000 positions of job openings are available. Thousands of people have paraded to the fair. The Executive of Amata Nakorn reveals that the labour demand has increased to 10,000 – 20,000 positions year on year.

Mr. Pichitt Ninthongkham, the Employment of Chonburi, states that the “Chonburi Job Fair Festival” has been continuously held until the 11th time by the cooperation between the Government and private sector namely the Office of Employment of Chonburi Province, Amata Corporation (Public) Co., Ltd. and Eastern College of Technology (E.Tech.) with the objective in rendering employment services to the people or those who wish to change their jobs, students, or students newly graduated from universities who are ready to emerge into the labour market including to the employers/ workplaces requiring to search for new employees. In this regard, Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate acts as the job center which is biggest in Chonburi Province.

Mr. Viboon Kromadit, Director and Chief Marketing Officer of Amata Corporation (Public) Co., Ltd., discloses that presently there are more than 700 factories in Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate, where more than 200,000 employees have commuted to work and the number is increasing every year. In addition, at this moment there are new investors and several factories are under the period of expanding their production capacity. This also has an impact on the increase of labour demand particularly in the sector of automotive, electronics, machines and equipment, construction, etc. Every year the job opening for skilled-labour has increased to 10,000-20,000 positions pursuant to the economics growth in industrial sector.

However, we are confident that the organizing of job fair this time will help create the opportunity for the workplaces which need labour and the persons who need jobs to meet each other, to search for the job suitable for the required skills, knowledge and capability. At the same time the workplaces are able to select the labour in accordance with their required qualifications. This will help to reduce the problem of un-employment situation we are facing nowadays as well as to spread the chances for the un-employed to earn some income and lead to their a better quality of life.
