The enjoyable and informative evening showcased the quality and exceptionality of 6 Italian wines and was generously sponsored by Independent Wine & Spirit (IWS) Thailand Co. Ltd. Royal Cliff’s deVine Wine Club members and guests alike enjoyed the remarkable event discovering the quality and taste of popular regional wines from Italy.
The evening’s guest speaker and wine specialist was Mr. Salvatore Campione, the National Sales Manager of Independent Wine and Spirits (Thailand) Co., Ltd who guided everyone through the fascinating world of Italian Wines and its cascade of alluring flavors. Italy is one of the world’s largest producers of wine with vineyards in almost every region of the country. Mr. Campione gave a compelling rundown on how the famous Italian Wine made its mark on the world stage as well as talked about the history and background of each featured wine. Guests took the opportunity to sip, savor and taste the distinctiveness of delightful pairings while listening to his interesting discourse.
The White Wines featured in the seminar were the Zonin Proseco Brut, Pighin Pinot Grigio 2012 and the Banfi “Le Rime” I.G.T. The Red Wines enjoyed by all participants were the Zonin Chianti D.O.C.G 2012, Banfi: Centine Toscana I.G.T. and the Zonin Valpollicella Ripasso 2011. Servings were accompanied by tasty small bites that delightfully complemented each wine. Being a light, fun and valuable tool in understanding Italian wines, the seminar was heralded a great success!
