Siam Winery, Thailand's leading wine producer and importer of premium brands, continues building its vision of a "Thai Wine Culture" by inviting wine enthusiasts to a memorable wine dinner evening on October 8 2015 at Madison, Anantara Siam Hotel, Bangkok; with a first visit to Thailand by Mr. Paul Konar, Managing Director of Quinta De Maipo, which is the group in charge of developing the renowned Vina Maipo Winery. The event features the finest wines of Vina Maipo, which carries a story of its own, communicating a tradition of a "passion for our roots" that has been taking place for more than half a century.

As Chile's 4th largest wine exporter, Vina Maipo is a prestigious Chilean wine producer with a rich history and excellent growth performance since its inception. Vina Maipo was born in 1948 in Maipo Town, and is situated nearby Santiago in Maipo Valley, Chile's most important and renowned winegrowing region. In a story that holds a deep passion in winemaking and highlighting its origin, Chile, Vina Maipo's use of the term "roots" relates to the wine's authenticity and traditions, while also playing with the concept of the most important part of the plant, the vine root. Nowadays, Vina Maipo is present in more than 70 countries around the world, and continues to excel towards achieving the most genuine Chilean wine for its drinkers no matter where they are.

"Vina Maipo is a quality wine which we are very proud to share with Thai wine enthusiasts. Our wine comes from a privileged location in the Maipo Valley, a location which is very unique because of its climate conditions of cool winds and unique temperatures, due to its location at a point that is equidistant between the Andes Mountains and the coast. Siam Winery is excellent in bringing the right wines to Thailand and we are honoured to be here to present our Vina Maipo wine selections for Thais to experience", said Mr. Konar.

Vina Maipo is especially focused on the production of superior quality wines, and holds a passion in making the distinguished Syrah Vina Maipo as its flagship wine and becoming a worldwide expert on Syrah, which is a wine of extraordinary colors and intense aromas. Vina Maipo planted more than 15 years ago one of the first Syrah vines in Chile, being a pioneer in this type of plantations.

"Siam Winery carries a strong passion in instilling a wine culture in Thailand and for Thais to have excellent wine options, bringing in quality wine from all corners of the globe, including Vina Maipo of Chile. I am delighted to welcome Mr. Konar during his first trip to Thailand, and having this unique opportunity for us to together deliver a high quality wine for our fellow wine enthusiasts here in Thailand", said Mr. Daniel Schwalb, Commercial Director, Siam Winery.
