This year's IT One Experience turned up the excitement a notch with the introduction of "5 Essential Skills for Digital Consultants," the core skills needed to create value for clients and to help employees scale their capabilities in every industry. These skills are also the core principles at IT One.

The 5 essential skills are: Design Thinking – A human-centred and creative approach to framing opportunities & solving problems.Agile Ways of Working – An iterative, adaptive and flexible approach to planning and making.Data Fluency – Using a sophisticated data-driven approach to uncover insights and hidden value.Value Creation – Focusing on outcome-based approach to seek and pursue value for clients, allowing clients room to venture on commercial aspects of their business. Throughout the course of the competition, participants got to learn these five skills and adopt them in their group workshop, providing a practical and hands-on experience that allows them to think outside the box, and to incorporate innovation into what they do, something of vital importance as they enter an ever-changing and fast-paced workplace.

"This year, we elevated the co-creation experience for participants by providing them with the latest frameworks on design thinking and digital transformation to unlock client value, and how, and how to apply this to the business case. The reasoning behind this new approach was to make it exciting and stimulating in order to let participants get their creativity flowing. In addition, each group is guided by coaches from IT One, a selected group of people who are experts and well-trained in their field with experience in digital solutions delivery," said IT One CEO, Mr. Trevor Osborn.

"The business cases we used on this day are designed based on real business challenges in the industries that IT One has extensive knowledge and experience in helping our clients in those industries. This program is very important in giving the students a chance to understand, engage in, and push their limits by applying what they learn to real life cases achieving positive outcomes. The five essential skills that we introduced today can be applied to any career path, be integrated with strengths of each person, helping them flourish in their career of choice. This is also a chance for participants to work in team across diverse background, from different universities, enhancing their cross-culture competency that would come in handy in this borderless and inter-connected business world."
