ASIMAR signs with Royal Thai Navy for new Tugboat.

Asian Marine Services Public Company Limited or ASIMAR has signed a contract with Royal Thai Navy for the delivery of a new 55 Tons Bollard Pull Tugboat. Admiral Chatchai Sriworakan, Commander in Chief presides over the signing ceremony for construction of a medium-sized tugboat worth 284,620,000 Baht with 540 days completion period. The Tugboat has 55 Tons Bollard Pull with speed over 12 knots equipped with Azimuth Thruster and high performance MTU engine. This is enable the Tugboat to fulfill push and tow mission with excellent maneuvering ability. Furthermore, this Tugboat also supports fire-fighting and oil spill recovery missions equipped with a Horizontal Certrifugal Pump in which produces up to 2,400 m3/hr and injection distance of 120 meters and DESMI oil spill removal system along with BioQ , biobased oil spill removal solution. Not only remove oil spill but also environmental friendly.

The Tugboat design from Robert Allan's Design, one of the top recognized Naval Architect company has been chosen. The design has been developed and proven with more than 400 tugboats have been built. This corporation will open opportunities for Thai shipbuilding industry to learn and develop new knowledge in ship design and construction in the future.
