Informa and government-private sectors team up Thailand will become carbon neutral by advancing the ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week and Electric Vehicle Asia 2022 initiatives.

ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week (ASEW) and Electric Vehicle Asia (EVA) 2022, the region's most comprehensive exhibition of energy, environment, and electric vehicle technologies. On this occasion, we join forces with public and private sector partners to organize an energy-to-carbon-neutral transition for a future that is sustainable.

Informa Markets Thailand within the public and private sectors moving forward with ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week and Electric Vehicle Asia 2022,  ASEAN's Most Comprehensive International Exhibition and Conference on Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Environmental and Electric Vehicle Technology, it is organized under the theme of "Enhancing Energy Transition to Carbon Neutrality for a Sustainable Future" to jointly respond to the energy and environmental transition towards carbon neutrality as a means of achieving a sustainable future.

This is in response to the present demand for electric vehicles among consumers. In addition to establishing Thailand as the regional centre for electric vehicles (EV Hub).

Dr. Prasert Sinsukprasert, Director-General, Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), Minitry of Energy, stated that we are moving forward with the National Energy Plan 2022 (NEP2022) with our goals toward carbon neutrality in 2050 on the 30@30 policy to target at least 30% ZEV production or increasing the number of ZEV vehicles. The future proportion of clean energy and renewable energy. We believe this forum is a significant opportunity to announce to the world the ministry's 4D1E policy by adopting digital technology, reducing carbon dioxide emissions, and promoting the liberalization of distributed power generation in the energy sector, which includes the use of green electricity. For the ASEW and EVA 2022 events this year, the ministry will participate in disseminating information and presenting vital policies that will shape Thailand's energy future. However, Thailand ready prepared to move toward neutral social carbon.

Mr. Krisda Utamote, President of Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT), stated that the organization collaborates with both the public and private sectors. To promote and support the knowledge exchange that will result in Thailand's comprehensive readiness for the application of technology and innovations to electric vehicles. Including annually participating in the Electric Vehicle Asia (EVA) event, we will continue to drive aggressively. In particular, introducing new experiences and knowledge through seminar topics and

showcase in the technology exhibition space of the Association.  The major highlight is the 7th International Electric Vehicle Technology Conference and Exhibition (iEVTech 2022), which will be held under the theme "Future Mobility Aspiration through Bio-Circular-Green Economy within APEC", is a significant highlight in the transformation of Thailand's electric vehicle industry.

Mr. Songpon Thepnumsommanus, Senior Executive Vice President, Energy Solutions Business, PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR), stated that one of our missions is to create Seamless Mobility to meet the market demand and businesses, regardless of the type of energy required for travel, and to achieve a seamless transition of energy use. Therefore, it aims to promote the widespread use of electricity for travel and transportation throughout the nation. This is a significant step towards becoming a market leader in the electric vehicle ecosystem (EV Ecosystem). Currently, OR has established 114 EV Station PluZ charging stations along major routes throughout the nation. It is anticipated that 450 locations will be added by 2022. As part of this year's EVA event, OR intends to display a multitude of energy and environmental expertise in pursuit of a low-carbon future in order to match maker demand, the majority of whom prefer electric vehicles.  In addition to promoting Thailand as the regional electric vehicle hub (EV Hub) in the future in line with the objective of creating a healthy environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions that cover the entire process of running a business, including increasing the proportion of clean energy use, Thailand aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030, laying the groundwork for the objective of becoming a Net Carbon Zero organization by 2050.

Mr. Sanchai Noombunnam, Country General Manager of Informa Markets Thailand, stated that for the ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week and Electric Vehicle Asia 2022 event, the Next Normal format will be reinstated. Improving the Energy Transition to Carbon Neutrality for a Sustainable Future " Nonetheless, the EVA event brought up the concept of "Driving Towards A Sustainable Low Carbon Society With E-Mobility". This exhibition, which is the main attraction of this event, features innovations and technologies pertaining to various forms of alternative energy, system of smart grids Increasing the energy efficiency of power management with 5G, and AI technology and environmental, and pollution management.

This event received cooperation from all sectors, both the public and private sectors, as well as energy entrepreneurs. Exhibited are more than 1,200 leading brands from 25 countries, as well as domestic and international experts who organize international conferences on energy and environmental, such as the Renewable Energy Asia International Conference, iEVTech Conference, Asia Urban Energy Assembly, ASEAN Bioenergy and Bioeconomy Conference, Thailand Connext, etc. It is anticipated that more than 25,000 participants from the entire ASEAN region will attend. We believe this event will facilitate the creation of business opportunities.

Gain in-depth knowledge and prepare entrepreneurs in the energy, environment, and related industries to meet market demand following the economic recovery and the resolution of the Covid-19 situation, Mr. Sanchai state.
