Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation, led by Mr. Hiroaki Kondo, Vice Chairman, together with Mr. Krit Thongnark, Director, and Mr. Tetsuya Shinohara, Deputy Managing Director, Mitsubishi Electric Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd., presided over the presentation of 2022 scholarships for the 30th consecutive year. The non-binding scholarships amounting to a total of 1,200,000 Thai Baht are offered to select engineering students from Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, and Thammasat University. The scholarships are aimed to support educational development, as well as offer encouragement to the youth to remain determined to translate the knowledge and skills learned to help drive the society and country forward.
Mr. Hiroaki Kondo, Vice Chairman of Mitsubishi Electric Thai Foundation, stated, "Our long-term vision is that education is key to sustainable development and the Foundation has been contributing to Thai educational promotion. Our philosophy under the Sustainable Development Goals is to "Leave No One Behind". The foundation has always been aware of this and committed to address this issue for we believe that we are offering not just financial support, but a contribution to a better society. We hope that all the scholarship recipients will do their parts for the future."
Mitsubishi Electric in Thailand has always been enthusiastic to engage with society, especially in education where we offer scholarships for engineering students and organize Science Classrooms. We also sponsor Partnership School Project, Prateep Dek Thai Project to construct Child Development Center across the country, and Meditation Classrooms.
