Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health of Thailand, said, "Medical devices are one of the government's priorities sectors that aims to enforce Thailand into becoming a comprehensive medical hub by supporting the development of medical devices to meet international standards. We aim to support the aging society of Thailand and the emergence of new diseases. Therefore, medical laboratories and devices have a considerable demand. In addition, the government's policy to drive Thailand towards Thailand 4.0 under the BCG model is focused on the medical device industry, to increase the procurement of medical devices from Thailand's innovation account by at least 30% and generating income of approximately 40 billion baht within five years (2021-2025). These factors make Medlab Asia & Asia Health an excellent opportunity for the medical community in the ASEAN region to build networks and expand the medical device industry, including learning new skills and exploring the global innovations market thereby helping Thailand achieve its goal of becoming the Medical Hub of Asia."

Wouter Molman, Executive Vice President at Informa Markets, added, "The major challenge in the medical devices business is the competition to develop advanced technology in medical laboratories. This is critical to preventing the ongoing threat of COVID-19 and emerging diseases worldwide. Medical technology companies are developing solutions, products, and technologies to battle the epidemic. Accordingly, the key trends that are expected to shape the medical device sector in Asia in 2022 are 1) minimally invasive surgery (MIS), 2) wireless technology and smart devices such as remote patient monitoring devices (RPM) to track a patient's health post-procedure, and 3) Augmented reality (AR) & robotics can be beneficial in supporting an operation or surgery. This new trend has great potential in Asia and is one of the most promising digital health technologies today. Buyers also need to take advantage of these cutting-edge technologies."

Loy Joon How, General Manager at Impact Exhibition Management Company Limited., said, "Medlab Asia & Asia Health is the most valuable business matching platform for medical laboratories in the Asia Pacific, helping in building a network for potential buyers and experts of the medical device industry. Over 300 exhibitors will assemble for the event, like Mindray, Roche, Sansure, Sysmex, Randox, Quotient, LG, Hokapi, BGI, ERBA MANNHEIM, AGD, Al Fahim Healthcare, Siemens, Beckman Coulter, Abbott, Biomerieux and more. More than 5,000 registered attendees this year are expected to generate business contracts resulting in a medical device turnover worth 700 million baht."

With three days of unlimited networking opportunities, 360 leading medical laboratory and healthcare companies across 25 countries will exhibit and demonstrate their products and innovations. Attendees witnessed a world of advancements with the 9 country pavilions featuring Belgium, China, Germany, Poland, Taiwan, USA, India, Korea, and Thailand standing tall across Hall 5-6 of IMPACT Exhibition Centre.
