Dr. Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, Executive Vice President of Marketing for Central Pattana plc, said: "Central Pattana is very pleased with the great feedback from the inaugural largest coffee event in the heart of the city: Thailand Coffee Hub 2022 at CentralWorld, which was a great success because in a period of only seven days, the event was able to generate more than 20 million baht in cash flow - which is a substantial proof of its success. Joining hands with the Specialty Coffee Association of Thailand (SCATH), we managed to gather entrepreneurs from the coffee industry and leading Thai coffee brands in one place. Coffee businesspeople presented their coffee-making equipment and coffee machines as well as a variety of coffee beans - with some rare varieties to choose from and purchase at special prices. Our success was also due to a 'right place and right time' approach, as CentralWorld is in the heart of the city, with convenient transportation and abundant parking space. Visitors were able to visit the coffee event and then take their families to eat and enjoy shopping afterwards. Central Pattana's strength from having shopping centers nationwide means that we are now looking forward to cross-region coffee roadshows to reach even more Thai coffee lovers throughout the country."

Dr. Nattakit added: "Coffee businesses are a hot trend of 2022, and the popularity of the Thai coffee industry has grown significantly, with the number of coffee business operators continuing to increase while consumers are looking to try new and interesting flavors of coffee beans. Now, the new generations such as Millennials or Gen Y are considered the largest groups of consumers with purchasing power. They are of working age and have lifestyles that value their hobbies - and they have the spending power to invest in coffee beans and specialty coffee machines. Central Pattana is ready to promote entrepreneurs of all levels in the coffee industry by highlighting the potential of Thai coffee brands and baristas, and creating coffee hubs to spur the expansion of the Thai coffee industry to a global level. This was the inspiration behind the launch of Thailand Coffee Hub 2022 - the only event bringing together all the world's different coffee varieties in one place throughout all the activity grounds of CentralWorld."

Thailand Coffee Hub 2022 event was joined by over 60 coffee businesses and more than 1,000 products. Exclusive and interesting workshops created excitement throughout the period of the event. CentralWorld not only created a buzz for coffee lovers at the event, there was a 'Craft Cocoa Village' to please those who do not drink coffee. The event offered the ultimate combination of Thailand's popular shops and cafes with amazing cocoa menu items and premium products in addition to cocoa-based items that were guaranteed delicious by the 'Chocorista' champion of Thailand. Among those who presented their signature menus included Kathi Tiphakon Bowonnawarak from Plearn Chocolate, the first Chocorista champion of Thailand from the Grand Cacao Championship 2021. Plearn Chocolate brought deliciousness from Rayong to the heart of the city, with premium chocolate menu items that offered an intense cocoa flavour. Another highlighted shop, Infinite Cacao, served eight courses of Chocolate Omakase, telling the story about the origins of the brand through drinks served in the form of delicious Chocolate Omakase. This highlight complemented the event in supporting our other group of customers (non-coffee drinkers). At the next event, there will be additional beverage zones such as for Thai tea or green tea to ensure that the event completely fulfils all demands for all different types of drinks.

The event successfully received great feedback thanks to all the individuals and groups in Thailand's coffee community who participated in the event and helped influence their followers to visit the event and be part of this great coffee festival in the heart of the city. Among others, there was a couple of international coffee lovers - Gypsy Keerati and a hot British barista, Nicholas Haw, the owner of the popular coffee shop 'Solos Coffee' and the creator of Coffee Omakase in Thailand. In addition, several celebrities, influencers, and YouTubers who are coffee lovers, also participated in the event. The continued great feedback helped to guarantee the success of the coffee event of the year.

Central Pattana will continue to move forward to promote the Thai coffee industry and coffee businesses at a global level and will continue to expand coffee hubs throughout Thailand through more great coffee events to be held in Central shopping centers in major cities.

The coffee event this year was very large and we believe that next year's event will be even larger with cooperation from our leading partners; we will certainly go from a countrywide coffee event to a global event to please all coffee and cafe lovers.
