SET President Pakorn Peetathawatchai said SET in collaboration with the Money & Banking Magazine will organize SET Awards 2023 in recognition of listed companies that are regarded as capital market's role models of excellence for business operations and quality. The awards are also aimed to promote competitiveness and sustainable growth of the Thai capital market as well as providing benefits for all sectors in line with the SET's vision "To Make the Capital Market 'Work' for Everyone".
"For 20 years, SET Awards has been well-received in the Thai capital market and recognized as a great pride and privilege among all awardees. This year, SET introduces Supply Chain Management Awards in the Sustainability Excellence category for listed companies that achieve excellence in sustainable supply chain management which is a key success factor to business efficiency, competitiveness and resilience," Pakorn said.
Money & Banking Magazine Editor-in-Chief Santi Viriyarungsarit, who is also an honorable judge of SET Awards, said SET Awards has been successful since its inception. As the award presentation ceremony marks its 20th anniversary in 2023, the organizing committee will highlight success stories of capital market stakeholders including listed companies, securities companies, asset management companies, financial advisors and real estate investment trusts that have excelled in various aspects and received SET Awards over the 20 years.
SET Awards are grouped into two categories: 1) Business Excellence category for listed companies, top executives of listed companies, securities companies, asset management companies, financial advisors and real estate investment trusts; and 2) Sustainability Excellence category for outstanding listed companies that embrace sustainability in their business operations. Sasin School of Management of Chulalongkorn University will process the assessment results for both categories.
Apart from Business Excellence and Sustainability Excellence categories, SET Awards of Honor will be presented to companies or individuals who have retained their excellence recognized by being granted the best award type under both categories for at least three consecutive years.
