NACC launches anti-corruption virtual museum

NACC Secretary-General Niwatchai Kasemmongkol said the Anti-Corruption Museum had the objective to instil morality and ethics in youth as well as the general public so that they are aware of corruption prevention. Located inside the building of the NACC on Phitsanulok Road in Bangkok, the museum was quite popular particularly among government agencies and students since it was Thailand's first and only comprehensive learning source on corruption, Mr. Niwatchai said.

Due to the museum's limited capacity to accommodate visitors, the NACC had decided to establish a virtual version of the museum so that people can visit it anytime and anywhere, said the NACC chief.

The virtual museum has 11 zones, including a travelling exhibition, with fun activities and quizzes. Mr. Niwatchai said he believed the virtual version would be as interesting as the brick-and-mortar one.

The idea that corruption was acceptable when one was benefited from it or small acts of corruption were acceptable must change, Mr. Niwatchai added.
