LINE VOOM Set to Achieve New Milestone as Utilitainment Platform Accelerates to Foster Fun and Beneficial Content Creation

According to We are Social's Global Overview Digital Report 2023, 95.3% of Thais use their mobile phones to access the internet, with 57.8% searching for information, 53.7% reaching out to friends or family, 50.9% staying informed and updated with news, 49.7% watching videos, movies, or TV shows, and 38.3% accessing online classes.

The data illustrates the importance of mobile internet in people's lives, particularly in communications, access to important information, and entertainment. With 53 million active users today, LINE VOOM, which was introduced in 2022, seeks to provide a short video content experience on the LINE application through the growth of a diverse spectrum of content. On the platform, there are four prominent content categories: namely, home decor, DIY, food, and entertainment.

For 2023, LINE VOOM will continue to create a distinct experience that distinguishes itself from other platforms as the 'Utilitainment Platform,' offering short video content that is both beneficial and entertaining to those who follow it. LINE seeks to diversify its user base and cover all parts of the country through three key community-building strategies that employ the hashtag #สาระได้สนุกด้วย (Get Smart, Stay Entertained) as follows:

  • Content Strategy: generate a community using the hashtag #สาระได้สนุกด้วย (Get Smart, Stay Entertained) by providing a space for creators, celebrities, and users to come together and produce diverse, high-quality video content that is both beneficial and fun.
  • Campaign Creative Strategy: prepare to launch a remarkable campaign titled "Born to create, Elevate your hometown pride," which will allow users to create creative content to introduce and promote the uniqueness of their hometowns.
  • New Feature Development Strategy: LINE VOOM aims to constantly develop new features to provide full services on the platform, from video filming and editing to adding video effects. It recently introduced a music library with over 10,000 songs and collaborated with renowned Thai artists such as Siangto Namchok and The Peach Band to create songs available exclusively to Thai users. There are also special filming effects created just for the campaign "Born to create, Elevate your hometown pride."

The VOOMER Studio, a physical creative space on the 17th floor of Gaysorn Tower, was recently opened to support creativity and the short video creating community. The studio enables true creators to explore and deliver their unique ideas through an unparalleled filmmaking experience. The creators will be given a complete range of lighting, color, and sound equipment, as well as a one-of-a-kind opportunity to participate in workshops to generate ideas and improve skills and expertise.

The short video platform LINE VOOM will serve as a new space for creative communities to deliver enjoyable content with substance. It is open for everyone, both users and creators, to learn and discover new things through new experiences that you have not seen before.
