Mr. Masao Kiba, President of JDFA, said, "The JINTAN U14 ASEAN Dream Football Tournament 2023 is now in its 6th year and has grown as a quality tournament thanks to the support of many organizations. Despite the recent COVID-19 situation in past years, I believe we will see excellent players and teams from Thailand, Japan, and ASEAN playing under the same roof this year. The game shall elevate throughout this tournament and we hope that this meeting will foster good relationships among all the players. The tournament aims to enable friendship and teamwork among athletes, helping them to increase their skills on and off the grass to become professional footballers in the future."
The JINTAN U14 ASEAN Dream Football Tournament 2023 comprises 12 leading youth teams from Thailand, Japan, and other ASEAN countries. They have been randomly selected into two groups - A and B - as follows:
- Group A - 6 teams: Assumption College Sri Racha / Port FC / Phuket Andaman FC / Toyota Junior Football Clinic 2023 / Chon Buri FC / Gamba Osaka (Japan).
- Group B - 6 teams: Assumption United / Nong Bue Pichaya FC / LOOK E SAN FC / Asiana Soccer School (Indonesia) / Bangkok Christian College / Albirex Niigata (Japan)
The winners from each group will proceed as finalists where 3 outstanding youths will be selected ASEAN Dream Players and earn the opportunity to train closely with a leading J-League professional football team. Additionally, there will be prizes for Most Valuable Player and Top Score Award.
