Chia Tai's Pest Inspection Laboratory (Omnoi) has undergone thorough evaluation by Department of Agriculture (DOA) committee, confirming that it possesses the necessary qualifications and fulfills the criteria, methods, and conditions required to be recognized as a competent pest inspection facility. Chia Tai Seed can conduct pest inspection on seeds, enabling the seeds operators to request the issuance of phytosanitary certificates for the export of various seeds abroad. This involves examining Acidovorax Citrulli in watermelon, cucumber, pumpkin, melon, cantaloupe, and squash seeds, along with inspecting Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus (ToBRFV) in tomato and chili seeds. In the future, this pest inspection facility aims to establish a channel to offer inspection services to external organizations.
This certification reflects Chia Tai's commitment to elevating the standards of seed and pest inspection to meet international benchmarks. The goal is to foster agricultural growth both in Thailand and globally, positioning Thailand as a hub for vegetable seeds. Additionally, the company contributes to enhancing the expertise of Thai agricultural professionals in managing plant diseases, ensuring the sustainability of the agricultural sector, which aligns with Chia Tai's mission to actively pioneer and explore technologies and agricultural solutions, applying various innovations to address challenges in agriculture.
