Shell Thailand Launched a new low sulphur Shell Formula Diesel Twin Power (0.05% sulphur) with Double Action Additive to enhance lubricity and to clean the engine. Shell hopes that the new diesel, intended for pick-ups, trucks, and all other kinds of diesel engine vehicles, will help make more sales volume.
yesterday (19 November, 1998) Khun Tiraphot Vajrabhaya - Retail Director of The Shell company of Thailand Ltd. held a press conference to launch Shell Formula Diesel Twin Power, a new diesel with less than 0.05% sulphur. Shell Formula Diesel Twin Power, with double-action additive to enhance lubricity and to clean the engine, is specially designed for pick-ups, trucks, and other diesel engine vehicles.
To comply with the Ministry of Commerce's regulations that sulphur content in diesel must be reduced to less than 0.05% by 1st January, 1999. Khun Tiraphot said that Sell Formula Diesel Twin Power has already been dispatched to upcountry depots and is now available for retailing at Shell service stations throughout the country. Shell realised however that reducing sulphur content in diesel will naturally bring down the lubricating quality of the oil. The company, therefore, blends the Double Action Additive --the lubrication enhancement additive and the engine clean-up additive - into Shell Formula Diesel Twin Power. The Double Action Additive will help increase lubricity, prevent rust and is compatible with engine oil. It will enhance complete combustion in the engine, reduce emission and, as a result, increase drivability and power. Shell Forumla Diesel Twin Power will be sold at regular price.
According to Khun Tiraphot, Shell believes that Shell Formula Diesel Twin Power will be the right choice for pick-ups, trucks and all other kinds of diesel engine vehicles and expects this new product will increase sales volume for Shell. Shell Formula Diesel Twin Power not only helps motorists to save their vehicle maintenance cost, but also reduces emission for a better environment. End.
