Following a series of major product roll-outs in Asia recently, Adobe Systems today announced the appointment of Peter Mah as regional sales manager for South Asia. Mah will spearhead Adobe’s channels efforts in the ASEAN region, India and its sub-continent
Prior to joining Adobe, Mah spent four years in Tektronix where he assumed various senior executive appointments, including regional sales and major account management. He was instrumental in boosting Tektronix's market share in the colour page printing segment to 45 per cent in Singapore, Brunei and the Philippines. Mah also successfully penetrated the Australian market where he developed numerous major accounts. Mah was a seven-year veteran at Epson Singapore before he joined Tektronix.
According to Loh Teck Heng, managing director of Adobe South Asia, “Peter brings with him more than 10 years of channel sales and marketing experience in the IT industry. We are confident that he will contribute directly to our current channels focus, ensuring that Adobe product market share continues to grow.”
Mah's immediate mandate is to increase the Adobe brand loyalty within the existing channels network and to further expand the current distribution capabilities. Key strategies include focusing sale efforts to help the channels better and support Adobe products, establishing a commitment-based relationship and rolling out more local bundling initiatives (Adobe to advise).
Said Peter Mah, "By working closely with our regional distribution partners and ensuring that the number of sales locations continues to grow, we will further establish our leadership position in the publishing industry in both print and Web." Mah holds an MBA in Strategic Marketing from the University of Hull and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). He is also a diploma holder in marketing awarded by CIM. End.
