INSEAD Asia Campus Inaugurates 'Reuters Foyer'
Global Business School Acknowledges Longstanding Corporate Support of Reuters
SINGAPORE, Feb. 26 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ -- INSEAD, the leading global business school, today acknowledged one of its closest corporate relationships by naming the foyer of its new campus in Asia, based in Singapore, in honour of Reuters.
In a statement to about 100 invited guests, Gabriel Hawawini, Dean of INSEAD, thanked Reuters and the Reuters Foundation, for their long and deep commitment to the school, as a research partner and as an investor in the school's strategy for growth.
Dean Hawawini singled out Reuters early support of CALT, INSEAD's Center for Advanced Learning Technologies, the school's leading R&D initiative in the application of advanced technology to on-line management education and knowledge management. "CALT was instrumental in the successful launch of INSEAD On-Line, an innovative approach to life-long executive education, built upon two decades of our investment in successful computer-based learning", the Dean said.
He also expressed appreciation to Reuters and the Reuters Foundation for their enthusiastic, generous and unrestricted support as a Founder Partner of the INSEAD Asia Campus. "Without this kind of help, we would not be on this campus today, advancing our vision of business education with global impact. INSEAD is the only business school with two totally integrated campuses in Europe and Asia, the first nodes of the global business-education and knowledge network that we are building with business partners such as Reuters," Gabriel Hawawini said.
Peter Job, Reuters Chief Executive said: "This Founder partnership with INSEAD opens up unlimited new initiatives and learning opportunities that are vital to the increasing business demands and technological advancement of the global information market in which Reuters operates."
