Prime Minister Taksin Shinnawatra presented The Prime Minister's Industry Award 2001 to Mr. Cholanat Yanaranop, Managing Director of Siam Polyolefin Co., Ltd., a member of Cementhai Chemicals Group. The award was given to Thai Polypropylene Co., Ltd., the producer of polypropylene plastic resins under Siam Polyolefin Co., Ltd. for its outstanding achievements in environmental management. In addition to embracing advanced production technology and installing sophisticated machinery, the company conducts its operations in accordance with an integrated environment management standard which recognizes strict environmental controls in pursuit of a clean and green environment.
Siam Polyolefin Co., Ltd. is ASEAN's largest producer of polyethylene and polypropylene products with an annual capacity of 800,000 tons. Its plant is located at Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Rayong. End.
