Enterprise IG, the world’s leading brand consultant, pinpoints Brand Engagement as the key to building and sustaining brand in the long term
Mr. Peter Bell, CEO of Enterprise IG, Brand Engagement said at the CEO Forum held recently in Bangkok that based on Enterprise IG experience with more than 500 clients worldwide, new generation customers are more sophisticated and demand consistent brand experience at every touchpoint. They want reliable brands whose behaviours match promises presented through their advertisement and publicity activities.
A worldwide study, done by Enterprise IG between 1999-2005, on people and brand building revealed that many brands failed because the people who work for such brands did not contributed to healthy brand building. In general, only one third of people in organizations have good understanding of their brands. Meanwhile, the rest do not understand and cannot help strengthen their brands. Even worse, they possibly damage the brands.
Mr. Bell continued that to ensure Brand Engagement, top executives must understand and encourage employees at all levels to embrace the brand and act in such a manner to reflect brand values in order to meet customer expectation.
To achieve this, all functions within the organization should be aligned to the brand promise. Human resources and corporate communications departments should be working together to engage their people on how they can live the brand.
