This collaboration builds on the partnership between CP AXTRA and the BMA to promote the sorting of organic waste (food waste) from Makro and Lotus's. The collected waste will be transferred to the BMA for use in various agricultural applications, including animal feed, Black Soldier Fly (BSF) farming, composting, and biogas production. It will also be distributed to local farmers to support ongoing community development in the region.

CP AXTRA also participated in the launch of "BKK Waste Pay" app, developed by the BMA to raise environmental awareness and promote household waste sorting among Thai citizens. The app also offers a convenient waste management payment service. Users who download and complete their registration are eligible for a variety of exclusive discounts and benefits at Makro and Lotus's from today until 31 July 2025:

  • Get 1 free soft serve ice cream cone per registered household at Makro or Lotus's (available at participating stores in Bangkok only).
  • Earn a 20-baht Makro PRO Point when registering as a new Makro PRO member and spending a minimum of 500 baht at any Makro store.
  • Get a 600-baht discount coupon from Lotus's upon registering as a new My Lotus's member.

CP AXTRA continues to drive the "AXTRA Green Together" initiative by setting up collection points for used plastic bottles (PET) at Makro and Lotus's. To date, 244,597 bottles have been collected, resulting in a reduction of approximately 3,782.69 kilograms of CO2e in greenhouse gas emissions, equivalent to planting around 399 trees.
