Mrs. Gloyta Nathalang, Senior Executive Vice President, Sustainability Management and Corporate Communications, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, and a board member of the Bai Mai Pun Suk Foundation, said "This initiative reflects the Foundation's commitment to shaping a stronger society and a greener planet through active learning and purposeful action. It encourages students, teachers, parents, and communities to work together in converting waste into clean energy, while generating income, easing the burden on community waste systems, and mitigating health impacts associated with reused cooking oil."
The "Fry to Fly Station" project began in 2024 at four pilot schools: Wat Lat Krabang School (Silaphirat Uppatham), Poonsin School (Phetsuk Uppatham), Phongploy Anusorn School, and Wat Bang Na Nai School (Ruen Sayamanon). Following the success of these model schools, the Foundation aims to expand the initiative to 40 schools in Bangkok and surrounding areas this year. Participating schools will receive training on station management and communication materials from the Bai Mai Pun Suk Foundation.
