George Mason University Korea is creating a cross-border learning space reinforcing its leadership in conflict resolution, legislation, and culture by continuously organizing a Study Trip program in Thailand.

In early 2025, students and faculty from the university participated in various activities in Thailand. These included a lecture and knowledge-sharing session at the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University; field visits to observe legal and justice processes at the Administrative Court and the Ministry of Justice; and a cultural immersion through visits to significant sites like the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew). They also got to enjoy a boat trip along the Chao Phraya River and educational and social activities in Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan province.

This trip not only gave students a deeper understanding of Thailand's legal and justice systems but also highlighted Thailand's potential as a regional hub for legal and conflict resolution studies. It facilitated the exchange of perspectives with qualified professionals from academia and government agencies. The close interaction with Thai life and culture also elevated Thailand's image internationally as a learning destination rich in both knowledge and cultural value.

Looking ahead to 2026, the university plans to bring students back to Thailand again. This reflects George Mason University Korea's commitment to developing students with a broad perspective, an understanding of global diversity, and the ability to apply their knowledge on an international scale. Trailblaze Mission provided support for coordination and event organization to ensure a smooth trip.
