Professor Colonel Dr. Supin Chompoopong, President of the Thai Neuroscience Society, stated, "The Thai Neuroscience Society was founded to unite scientists in advancing neuroscience research, education, and collaboration with public and private sectors to enhance the understanding of brain science in Thailand. Our annual scientific conference serves as a platform for knowledge exchange and the development of research networks both domestically and internationally. The 28th Annual Meeting not only provides opportunities for knowledge sharing but also features special activities that promote basic neuroscience literacy. The SKT Workshop on 'Well-being and Memory Control Training for the Elderly' applies neuroscience principles to strengthen brain and memory health among seniors and to support clinical care for neurological patients. We extend our appreciation to Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) for supporting this SKT Workshop, which marks a significant collaboration between academia and the private sector in improving the quality of life for Thailand's elderly population."

Professor Dr. Somporn Kantharadussadee Triamchaisri, founder and copyright holder of SKT Meditation Therapy, added, "As people age, they inevitably experience various physical and physiological changes — particularly the gradual decline in brain function, which directly affects memory. Many older adults face issues such as reduced recall ability or difficulty remembering details, which in turn impact their daily lives, including self-care, communication, and relationships with others. Therefore, maintaining and enhancing brain health among seniors is essential to ensuring their quality of life and overall happiness. The SKT Workshop, held under the theme 'Therapeutic Training for Well-being and Memory Enhancement in the Elderly, was designed to deepen understanding of how to care for and rehabilitate brain health through practical applications of neuroscience. The workshop also featured distinguished experts in neuroscience and geriatric health, who shared their insights and latest advancements in the field. It provided an invaluable platform for academics, physicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals to exchange knowledge and experiences — all with the shared goal of sustainably improving the quality of life for Thailand's aging population."

SKT Meditation Therapy combines techniques from Anapanasati meditation, yoga, and qigong into a unified mind-body practice for holistic well-being. The therapy emphasizes both mental and physical alignment, along with comprehensive lifestyle adjustments, including:

  1. Moderate Exercise: Engaging in daily physical activity helps improve blood circulation to the brain, which is vital for cognitive function. Regular exercise combined with SKT meditation therapy is recommended to optimize brain health.
  2. Healthy Nutrition: A balanced and nutritious diet supports overall brain health by maintaining proper metabolic and nutrient balance within the body.
  3. Mental Wellness: Participating in mental wellness activities and learning new, challenging skills—such as meditation and brain-training games—can sharpen cognitive clarity and help combat cognitive decline. These practices can be done alongside daily SKT meditation.
  4. Adequate Rest and Quality Sleep: Good sleep is essential for memory retention and overall brain health. Combining regular exercise with SKT meditation can further improve sleep quality.
  5. Social Engagement: Maintaining social connections and interactions plays a vital role in supporting brain function and cognitive vitality.
  6. Stress Management: Practicing SKT meditation helps reduce stress and its negative effects on memory, promoting better brain health.
  7. Brainwave Enhancement through Meditation: Daily SKT meditation increases alpha, theta, and gamma brainwaves, which are associated with improved cognitive performance and enhanced brain function.

Junthima Piamchaiwong (B.Sc. in Pharm), Marketing Director - Ethical (Thailand and Indochina), Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said, "Thailand is now entering a fully aged society, with seniors accounting for more than 20% of the total population. This demographic shift has driven a continuous rise in demand for health and self-care products across all age groups — particularly those that support brain health, which is a critical concern as brain degeneration is a major risk factor for dementia and Alzheimer's disease. As the market leader in health supplements renowned for scientific expertise and innovation, Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) prioritizes developing products that meet consumers' evolving health needs at every life stage, especially among the growing senior population. Furthermore, with current economic and labor trends emphasizing the employment and active participation of older adults, maintaining their physical and mental well-being has become more important than ever. To promote greater awareness and understanding of sustainable brain and memory care among the elderly, the company has supported the Thai Neuroscience Society in organizing the 'SKT Workshop,' aimed at enhancing seniors' physical and mental health, happiness, and capacity to enjoy an active, fulfilling life. Beyond collaborating with leading organizations in medicine, science, and academia, we remain dedicated to continuously developing and delivering innovative health solutions that empower people to live better and healthier lives at every age."
