K-BAR, Hidden in Vast Forest, Opens Just Once a Month! Perfectly Designed Emotional Healing Experience at Khao Yai Art Forest

Amidst the Khao Yai forest lies a secret bar that opens every second Saturday of the month (the next opening is on 14 March 2026). "K-BAR" is hidden within the Khao Yai Art Forest, surrounded by a site-specific installation by Elmgreen & Dragset, a world-renowned contemporary artist duo. Communicating the concept of "displacement," it pays tribute to the late German artist Martin Kippenberger whose Untitled (1996) painting adorns the heart of the bar. Each drink thus becomes a fleeting dialogue between art, nature, and the present moment—an experience that has captivated many.

Beyond its secretive charm, "K-BAR" offers Thailand's one-of-a-kind culinary experience: "Bloom by Wuttisak Tasting Set". Crafted by Chef Wuttisak "Wut" Wuttiamporn, a master of contemporary Thai cuisine, the menu reinterprets local plants, flowers, and other ingredients into "art on a plate"—a multisensory journey designed to awaken every sense.

Conclude the day with a stroll to appreciate outdoor art objects, including the highly talked-about new installation "Pulsus Vitae" by the French artist group Scenocosme(Gregory Lasserre and Ana?s met den Ancxt). This interactive artwork invites the audience to press their ears against trees, embrace their trunks, and listen to a "heartbeat" that pulses in rhythm with the forest to feel the bond between humans, technology, and nature through a deep, quiet, and beautiful experience.

Come and enjoy emotional healing at Khao Yai Art Forest. Special offer! A one-day round-trip shuttle service is available every Thursday to Sunday. It departs from Bangkok Kunsthalle at 10am, with the return trip leaving Khao Yai Art Forest at 5pm. The service fee is 500 baht per person (round-trip).
